Day 9 - Setting Boundaries From the Finished Work

Week 2 - Day 9 - Setting Boundaries from the Finished Work

21 Day - Through the Holiday's

By Sophia Tucker

We are blessed to be given a great promise that everything we need has already been provided to us because of the finished work of Christ.

Hebrews 4:3,9

For we who have believed do enter that rest (Hebrews 4:3)
There remains, therefore, a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. (Hebrews 4:9)

Here are some truths I have learned:

- You already have everything you need to get to a target weight, maintain your weight and enjoy health. The gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation Romans 1:16 The Greek word for salvation is 'sozo' which means to be rescued, healed, delivered and more. The power of God has been given to us to see change and transformation.

- We have already been given every tool and the instructions for the best diet plan in the World. God wants you well!

2 Cor 3:16-17,

- In the Spirit, we are perfect all you have to do is train your mind and your words to follow this truth and your body will follow quickly along.

James 3:2, Romans 12:1-2

So what do we need to do?

  • We need to rest in the finished work & believe! Hebrews 3:19, Hebrews 4:9

  • Be dear followers and imitators of God & throw yourself in Ephesians 5:1; 1 Tim 4:15,

  • Don't be destroyed by a lack of knowledge. Know your right standing in Christ Hosea 4:6; Galatians 2:20

  • Set your minds on things above & Worship God in Spirit and Truth Philippians 4:8; John 4:24

Today's challenge is to focus on setting your mind on what the finished work looks like for you. This has helped me when creating boundaries for health as it helps me plan from the goal or from the position I am aiming for. Read the verses above to help you.

Let's renew our minds using the Think on Model answering this question: What would the end of the holiday's look like for you when you have stayed within your food boundaries, exercise goals?
