Day 21 - Perfect Peace Through The Holidays
Through The Holidays
21 Day Challenge
During this holiday season if you attend any event you will see the audience holding their phones up trying to capture the moment. This is their way of having a record of the special moment.
Author Sophia Tucker of Renewing the Mind 101 challenges us to do the same. She calls on us to sit, listen, and write. After spending time with God we must sit and listen to what He is saying to our hearts.

This is different from Truth Journaling and Scripture Journaling. Truth Journaling is a tool used to replace lies with truth. Whilst Scripture Journaling is used as a way to determine if your thoughts line up with God’s.
As we come to the end of the Holiday Challenge we are being encouraged to treasure every word the LORD speaks into our hearts. This process is called Journaling.
Sophia shares form Habakkuk 2:2 (AMP)
Then the Lord answered me and said, “Write the vision And engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets So that the one who reads it will run.
This verse was given by God to stir us to:-
1. To Watch: meaning paying vigilant attention, taking time to listen.
2. To Write: we are to write out what God is telling us.
3. To Write Plainly: Being careful to be able not only to find what was written but also to read and reread what was written for you and the generations that follow. Our precious moments with God are too important to be written on scraps of paper.
We can win through the holidays if we pause to listen and write the words from God and treasure the words God has spoken.
In Renewing the Mind 101 Sophia shares another way to renew your mind by filling your heart with Thanksgiving to the LORD. Because we are all longing for peace, forgetting to be thankful can wreak havoc on our minds.

During the holiday's peace can be shattered by deadlines, too many holiday guests, screaming babies, offenses, snobs, and judgments that can put us in a tailspin into the cookie jar. We must have a practice of giving thanks, which is thanksgiving. Recording with thanksgiving allows us to keep our eyes off of ourselves and back to the LORD.
Colossians 3:15 “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”
This circular solution can be stated as a heart ruled by the peace that leads to thankfulness, and a thankful heart leads to peace.
Sophia states “peace is the antidote to stress, it’s a remedy for anxiety and it a powerhouse to demolish doubt and despair. “ Want a winning holiday season?
Remember, Isaiah 26:3
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.”

TODAY’S CHALLENGE is Journaling with Thanksgiving
Using Psalm 136:1-9 as an example, write your own personal version in the first person. SHARE all or 1 verse.
