Day 20 - Achieving Health Goals
21 Day Challenge
Through The Holidays
by April Neal
"Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones." Proverbs 3:7-8 (NIV)

The Bible has much to tell us about health. It seems our culture also has ideas about this subject. Although I do believe that our medical communities have merit and the advances in science and understanding of our human bodies can give us great insights into healthy living, the Bible is clear....to truly bring health to our bodies, we must "fear the LORD."
This phrase has been an avenue of confusion for our enemy. He preys upon our feelings and has us actually do the opposite, expect all to be fine no matter what we do. Well, that doesn't work very well. Fearing the Lord means we value His Word above all others. If Scripture declares something about our health, we should too.
The experience of healing for me, over the past couple of months, has taught me that it is for nothing if I do not follow God's Will for my body, relationships, and activities.
Think About It:
What areas are you struggling with your health?
Have you had a conversation with Holy Sprint about this area? What did he say?
How can you begin to obey God instead of yourself?

Today's Challenge
Today we will create an Affirmation based on the above verse, Proverbs 3:7-8. As a bonus, look up other Scriptures about Health and create even more to say every day and remind you that your health is in God's capable hands, he created us after all!
