Day 13 - Standing in Confidence

Day 13 - Standing in Confidence

21 Day Challenge - Through the Holidays

Sophia Tucker

Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: (Hebrews 10:35-36)

As we draw to a close of week 2 of the 21-day challenge it is a good time to reflect. How have you been doing?

No matter what the result let us hold tight to our confidence in Christ Jesus. Let's place our confidence in HIM and not our own ability. It helps me to remember that it is no longer I that live but Christ.

With this, I can stand in great confidence in His faithfulness and His power.

Confidence can come from our experience. He has proven Himself over and over and so we can stand firm in Him today that He will surely do it again this time. I can't tell you the number of times I have made a mistake in keeping my boundaries over the holidays in the past but I CAN tell you the many many great rewards I have gained from not quitting and persevering. Let's experience walking through our boundaries with Jesus today.

1 REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE

I have been seeing the faithfulness of God to help me become more focused and determined as I meditate on who I am in Christ. It has helped me to understand that whether I fall or rise in victory my confidence is in Him and Him alone. Keep reading through all the scripture prayers, journal entries and victories you have experienced so far!

2 IGNITE YOUR PASSION

So as we are focusing on our health goals today I find a great way to stay within my boundaries and stay focused is to ignite the passion in my heart and remember my goals and reason for continuing on this journey. Review your goals, focus and commit to those today.

Jude 20:20 Amplified Bible (AMP)
But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit,

3 FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS

Remembering that Jesus is with me every step of the way even if I have doubts helps me keep my eyes fixed on Him. Just like when Thomas who doubted Jesus had risen from the dead was right there for him. When Peter was sinking Jesus stretched out His hand for Him, and when the disciples were in the storm Jesus was right there with them also drawing them to the truth. So when I may look at my weekly overview and see I haven't ticked all my boxes or even today if you step on the scales and don't see what you expected to know that Jesus is standing right there with us. It's impossible to let Him down. You are loved by Him!

4 SPEAK TRUTH

One way I stir myself up in the Holy faith is through mirror exercises. Looking at myself in the mirror and telling myself who I am, that I am loved and that I can stick with these boundaries really helps. Try that today! Forget not His benefits!

Speak to your soul Psalm 103: 1- 5

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

5 SPEAK AFFIRMATIONS

Sometimes we can have so many boundaries but do you have 1 thing you can commit to today to help you stay within your boundaries? Commit to this for just today with the Lord. Experience Him walking alongside you through this boundary. Pray in the Spirit and ask the Lord to help you. Have an affirmation to speak every hour or every time you have thoughts that are contrary to your plan.

Remember to have a conversation with the Lord about how you feel and ask Him for His perspective.

Here is an affirmation I use (based on my rightful position in Christ from my spirit):

" I am always strong; I am never weak. In the weakness of the flesh, Gods strength is made strong, and therefore, acknowledging the weakness of all flesh, I lean on God's strength"

Challenge

If you have struggled with keeping within boundaries can I direct you today to write an affirmation based on verses that encourage you not to quit? If you have done well write out an affirmation of thanksgiving to the Lord.
